2008 - Our 22nd Anniversary Year.

In 1987, a committee of approximately fifteen women designed an event which raised approximately $27,000 for a shelter for battered and abused women and children.  Now in its twenty first year, The Harvest Ball has become the largest single fundraising event devoted exclusively to raising funds for charities serving communities “North of the River.” Since its inception, the Ball has distributed over $4.1 million to many different deserving agencies. Proceeds from the 22nd annual Harvest Ball will benefit programs and services designed to stabilize, strengthen, and enrich the lives of Northland residents. More than seventy men and women will spend most of the year 2008 working to raise charitable dollars for programs that might not, otherwise, receive adequate funding.
